… Contingent To Receive Special Farewell With Unveiling Of Kits Combo
The fast-rising football academy owned by Gombe State NNPP Gubernatorial aspirant Honourable Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki participates in the forthcoming world’s most impressive youth pre-season tournament in Denmark and Norway for Dana Cup and Norway Cup from Monday 25th July to Saturday 6th August respectively.
The development which is aimed at exposing the players for advance opportunities in Europe is first of its kind among football clubs in the North East Geo-political zone of the country.
Quite a several talented players from the football academy were already trading tackles I’m different European clubs with few among them playing at a professional level while others are under youth development stages in Portugal and Denmark.
Not fewer than 20 players cut following weeks of thorough camping exercise spearheaded by the Academy’s Technical Director, Nigeria’s U-17 World Cup winning team (Golden Eaglet) Manu Garba OON and ex-Kano Pillars defender Coach Umar Zango.
In another development, the club president Hon Mailantarki will play host to the contingent in a special farewell event were the players will be handed a complete playing equipment made by Spanish major kits manufacturer Joma.
Items to be presented to each player include 3 sets of jerseys, traveling wear and bag, 2 tracksuits, a pair of boots, socks, shin pads and 2 training wears.
Technical Director Coach Manu Garba, Academy International liaison Director Mr. Abdulrahman Baba alongside two leaders of the contingent General Manager Abba Nasir and Director Media Adamu Usman Ahmed are the officials listed to jet out with lads on Saturday (23rd July) night via Turkish Airline at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport Abuja.
