Nigeria 🇳🇬 International Ibrahim Alhassan has completed his move to Belgian SuperLiga third division club Beerschot’ as their latest acquisition for the 2022-2023 season,Felele247.com reports.
The 25 year old former Akwa United midfielder put to paper club on a free transfer from CD Nacional in Portugal, which see him stay until June 2024 with an option for an extra year.
Alhassan moved to Portugal four years ago after a spell in Austria with Austria Wien. Of those four seasons with CD Nacional, two were in the first division, two in the second.
“Ibrahim is a central midfielder with a big physical presence”, our technical manager Sander Van Praet says. “He is very comfortable in ball possession and has the profile we were still missing in our squad.”
“It is true I, feel very comfortable when having the ball but I am also quite aggresive in pressing and man marking. Therefore I think I will fit in very well in the coach’s approach of the game”, Ibrahim Alhassan confirms. “Joining Beerschot is an important step up the ladder for me. My abnd the club’s aim is to get back to Division 1A as soon as possible.”
