The first round of the Nigeria Professional Football League #npfl 21/22 Season draws to a close on Sunday with matches scheduled across different centres in the country.
Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi is set to host one of the Star Matches involving Wikki Tourists fc and visiting Enyimba International of Aba.
Consequently, the Bauchi based team will file out without it’s midfield maestro Salomon Chigoziem due to a groin injury he sustained during the teams training on Thursday evening.
Chigoziem who has marshalled the attacking midfield for Wikki Tourists has been improving in his games recently to the admiration of Technical Crew of the team and fans who monitored his progression.
Chigoziem in a chat with the team’s Media expressed regret that he will not play.
I have not been myself since the incidence happened,this is one game I have longing to play but God has destined that I will not be part of the team,its so unfortunate but I can’t challenge God,all I pray for is Victory for my team, said Chigoziem.
Wikki Tourists team Doctor Umar Abubakar when contracted on the issue said the injury is not severe,stating that the player need to be off the field for a few days to allow for quick healing.
The League Management Company has declared a fourteen days break after tomorrow’s matchday 19 of the 21/22 League Season.
