Egyptian outfit Smouha have confirmed that Nigeria international Sikiru Olatunbosun and Angola’s Garcia Dias “Dasfáa” have left the club after their contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Both players had joined Smouha last September as the club were looking to reinforce their attacking area and compete for a continental qualification spot.
Sikiru Olatunbosun, 26, joined on a free transfer from Turkish club Ankaraspor but went on to make just five appearances for the club, of which he started only once.
Across 123 minutes of playing time, Sikiru, who can play at both wings, failed to score or assist; and a late substitute appearance against El-Gaish on December 25, proved to be his last game for the Blues.
Meanwhile, Dasfáa, who also plays at the wing, joined from Angolan side GD Interclube after an impressive season which saw him score 10 goals in 22 games in the Girabola.
While the Angolan started against Pyramids in the Egypt Cup just days after joining, he endured a much more difficult time in Alexandria, as he failed to make any further appearance.
And ahead of completing the signings of two new Nigerians, Smouha, led by head coach Ahmed Samy, have decided to terminate the contract of the duo to free up two foreign player spots.
