Nigeria Professional Football League match-day 6 and 7 fixtures involving Akwa United and Katsina United, and Enyimba versus Akwa United have been rescheduled by the league organisers, League Management Company (LMC).
The match-day 6 which was originally fixed for Sunday, January 16th has been brought forward to Saturday, 15th January 2022 and will be played at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium – Nest of Champions, Uyo at 4pm.
Also, the match-day 7 tie between Enyimba and Akwa United has been shifted from Wednesday 19th to Thursday 20th of January 2022 and will be played at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba at 4 pm.
In a letter dated Monday 10th January 2022 and signed by the LMC Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar contained no explanation as to why the matches have been rescheduled.
LMC however regret any inconveniences the change in dates may have caused the teams involved and directed all stakeholders to ensure adequate logistics are put in place ahead of the games.
