As the kick off date for the much awaited 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League season draws closer, clubs, as well as players, are intensifying training for the challenge ahead.
One of these players is Wikki Tourists new signed Abubakar Aliyu Ibrahim aka (Korea) who joined from Akwa United.
Abubakar was an attacking Midfielder who had traded his footballing skills in some countries that include Tunisia2016, Norway 2017,2018, 2019, and Denmark 2020 before joining Akwa United mid Season last year on a free transfer and played twelve games ending the Season with league trophy as champions.
Since joining Wikki, Abubakar has proven to be a force to reckon with as he has always improved in both pieces of training and some friendly matches he played earning the confidence of both the technical crew and supporters.
On why he chose Wikki Tourists over other clubs, Abubakar said Bauchi is like a home to him and Wikki Tourists has been on his mind and therefore decided to join and contribute to its success particularly in the coming season 2021/22.
Speaking on the first match of the season against Sunshine Stars on Sunday 19/12/2021 in Akure, Abubakar admitted that first games are always difficult but expressed confidence in the ability of the team to do well.
