Frank Ssebuufu scored a late winner as Wakiso Giants beat Busoga United 1-0 for our successive win of the campaign.
Coach Alex Gitta made a few changes from the team that beat Police naming Ibrahim Kasule, Shariph Kimbowa and Grant Matsiko in the starting line-up.
Moses Aliro who started in a more advanced area had the first opportunity of the game but his low shot was blocked after he turned Bithum inside out.
There were chances for Kimbowa, Ssematimba and Ssebuufu to break the deadlock before the break but were denied by the resilient defending from the visitors.
A minute after the break, Nantamu also denied Kasule punching his shot from outside the area away for corner.
Aliro also beat an offside trap but saw his shot from an acute angle miss target.
Kimbowa could also have tapped home after Ssebuufu’s headed pass but missed the opportunity as we piled more pressure.
Hassan Ssenyonjo and Amos Muwonge came on later as the search for goal intensified.
With two minutes left on the clock, Ssebuufu controlled a long ball from Satulo; beat the defenders with a dummy before slotting home to send the home fans into frenzy.
The win lifts to sixth position on the log with six points ahead of our trip to Kavumba to face SC Villa.
