Rangers International F.C have successfully snapped up a ‘Raw Diamond’ personified by attacking sensation, Ikechukwu Iboko, who last appeared for Enugu state league side, Rising Angels F.C and managed by Urchman Football Agency.
Iboko, who has been outstanding since the pre-season exercise started some weeks back, did not put anybody that visited the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, the venue of the open screening exercise in doubt of his ability to deliver the needed goods when the 2021/2022 football season kicks off.
After completing negotiations and sign the dotted lines with the seven-time Nigeria league champions, sensational Iboko, said, “It feels good to be in the ‘Flying Antelopes’, Rangers International. I hope to do more than what I did to get the attention of the coaches, fans and management when the season starts, by God’s special grace.”
The youthful all-action attacker now brings the number of the new players in the fold of the Enugu landlords, to nine after such names as Julius Ikechukwu, Ejike Uzoenyi, Clement Philip, Samuel Pam, and others.
Rangers continued preparations for the new season with another practice match, Thursday morning, as they defeated Enugu league side, Bright Stars F.C of New Haven, 4-2 while more quality matches are lined up going into the weekend.
Prince Davidson Owumi, G.M/CEO of Rangers, said after the signing ceremony, “With the approval of the technical crew on the excellent quality of Ikechukwu Iboko, management is glad and proud to have such a talent in our fold to help us challenge on all fronts in the coming season. We believe that more of such can be gotten within Enugu.”
