Egyptian outfit Al-Masry SC have reportedly appointed their former trainer Moine Chaabani as the club’s manager for the upcoming season, Felele247.com understands.
Chaabani left Esperance at the end of the 2020/2021 Tunisian Premier League season the former Tunisian international defender won the CAF champions twice as a player and won the Tunisian Premier League (Ligue 1) four times.
Moïne’s biggest achievement with Esperance was winning two CAF Champions League titles in a row in 2018 and 2019.
The 40-year-old was dismissed as the head coach of the Tunisian club after they were knocked out from the 2021 CAF Champions League semi-finals when they faced Al Ahly.
Al Masry will be participating in the CAF Confederation Cup, so both the club and Chaâbani will have the chance to win their first-ever Confederation Cup title.
